Factory Worker

Style

Work Type:

My work type is ISTP and my style is that of a "practical analyzer." I donít like a line of bull! When people try to convince me of something, it needs to be logical. I like action and I can work hard without getting tired. I am shy except with my family and best friends. I like working in a factory where things get done and everyone is focused on solving problems when they come up. I like to tell the truth about how I see things. I am very loyal to my friends and generous to my family.

Motivation

Career Drivers:

My primary career driver is "security." I was born in the town I work in, have all of my friends and family here, and would quit my job before I would leave town. My secondary career driver is "life-work balance." I am more interested in making sure that I have a balanced life that includes family, friends, hobbies, than have it be just about work. I like to work and think I am good at what I do, but thereís more to life than just work.

Skills

(People, Data, Physical, Adaptive):

The skills that I do best are assembling things, diagnosing mechanical problems, using power tools, following instructions, and thinking logically. If I want to be a supervisor I need to be able to lead others, manage people, motivate others, plan work assignments, and maintain schedules. I can take supervisory courses at work if I request them.

I am alert, conscientious, self-starting, physically strong, and industrious. I need to be more motivated, open to ideas, ambitious, encouraging of others, and people-oriented.

Internal Barriers

I feel blocked by my fear of taking responsibility, being naive politically, having poor listening skills, being confronting to others, and having a low frustration tolerance.
